Skating Party

Daddy took me on my first ice skating adventure. Who would have thought that my swimming water could also be fun when it is frozen!

This winter stuff ain't so bad.

Playing Football

Okay, I was playing football with my daddy, and then we watch another type of football on TV. Seriously, what is it with adults? I'm having a hard enough time as it is with your language, but now you introduce things like Football and Football. Not to mention things like their, there, and they're. COME ON what are you trying to do to me!

I'm on Vacation!!!

It is tough being an infant. I have a lot of responsibilities and a lot of pressure. So after almost a whole year of slaving away at my infant job, I decided that I needed a break and booked a vacation to Florida!

I was pretty excited to find out that my Grandma and Grandpa were already there, waiting for us when we landed from my first airplane right. I don't know what the big deal about plane rides are. You spend hours just trying to get on one, then you spend hours wanting to get off of it. I was okay with most of it, but the boredom got to me by the end I was really ready to get out of that big metal playpen. Oh, and for the record, Delta needs some childrens in flight food.

We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's condo in Clearwater beach. It is really nice there. They have a big patio that looks down on the swim pool and it is only about a 5 minute walk for me to get to the beach. I never was able to do it in 5 minutes because there are all kinds of shells and neat stuff to stop and play with on the way. I'll have to go back and try again.

Everyone liked to talk about the weather down there. I really didn't care to be honest. All I know is I could go outside all day long, and that is all that mattered. I went to the beach, the park, the Zoo, the boardwalk, the stores, and I even played some shuffleboard against Daddy. I won by the way!

But what I really wanted to do was go swimming, everyone knows how much I love to go swimming! So I tried to get in as much as I could. Just like Stefanie my sissy.

We are home now, but I want to go back and play some more. M&D say that next year we will go on another adventure. Exactly how long is "a year" anyhow?

Snow Storm means early Christmas PRESENTS!!

I don't know about you, but this snow storm thing ain't all bad. I got to spend not one, not two, but three whole days with Mommy, and two with Daddy! Seriously, I think we need more of these storms.

Oh, and here is the bonus part. I got to open a Christmas present early! This snow stuff rocks!

I met Santa Claus

Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Santa Claus. I'm not sure if you have heard of him or not, but I'm being told that he is a pretty big deal in some parts. I've never seen him on Entertainment Tonight, or in any of the newspaper tabloids so I have to assume that he is only a B list celebrity. So I'm basically thinking to myself that he is no Brad Pitt...

Anyhow, I took my parents and sister Stefanie to Bachman's Nursery to do some Christmas shopping the other day. While we were there an "Elf" named Albert comes walking out of this little house that was built right in the middle of their store and started to tell stories and do some magic tricks. One trick was pretty cool and I'm still working out how he did it. I think it could be magic, but I'm not sure at this point. Anyhow, Alfred seems pretty cool but I'm having a hard time accepting that he is an Elf, he is almost as tall as my Daddy. Aren't Elf short and have weird ears or something? Or am I missing something here.

So Albert the Elf is singing songs and doing magic when this Santa Claus guy comes walking into their little house. He seemed pretty cool from the beginning, I've never seen this guy before so I'm not real sure what to think of his right away. But he was sporting some bright yellow Converse Chuck Taylor's. And the one thing that I've learned so far in life is, if someone is wearing Chucks, they ain't all bad. Just ask my sister.

While Santa and Albert are telling stories I notice that all of the other kids there are starting to really freak out over this Santa guy. I'm starting to wonder to myself why? When all of a sudden Albert the Elf and Santa stop their stories and songs and say, "Okay kids, you can all line up to tell Santa what you want for Christmas!!!"

WHAT!!! This Santa guy is like a Grandma or Grandpa and is going to give me a present! Why didn't anyone tell me this earlier!?! I mean, okay I knew that he could tell if I've been naughty or nice. Mom and Dad can already do that, so that is no biggie. But I didn't realize that I was potentially messing up a present! Seriously people, can someone please tell me the whole story instead of just this "be good 'cause Santa is watching" stuff.

So we get in line and I'm watching all of this other boys and girls asking Santa not A gift, but giftS!!! As in MULTIPLES gifts. Now I'm really worked up. I've been blowing it for weeks thinking that this Santa guy was like an Uncle I haven't met yet and is just going to swing by the house, hang out for a bit, have a beer with Daddy, and then be on his way.

I'm now nervous and a bit freaked out to be meeting a real A list celebrity. I get to the front of the line, Santa gives me a big "I know what you've been up too little girl" smile and I know in the instance that I'm going to get ripped off this Christmas. Next thing you know I'm crying, I'm completely freaked out by the fact that I've blown my chance to get any toy I wanted this Christmas. All because I didn't spend some time on Wikipedia and learn about this guy first....

So it took me a while to calm down. I mean, what if someone can to you and said "you know that guy sitting next to you on bus ride to work this morning? He would have given you a Ferrari if you had just said hello to them." Yeah, I was that kind of freaked out too! Anyhow, I got it together when Mommy said that we could go to  Patrick's Cafe inside of Bachman's. Can I recommend their chocolate chip cookies or their pumpkin muffins. Both are excellent with a bottle of milk.

Halloween

Okay, this Halloween thing isn't so bad. I've been told for weeks about the scary ghost and witches that will be coming to the house. And, I will have to admit at first I thought that they were real, but they I noticed that they were not REAL witches and ghost, but just little boy's and girls dress up as witches and ghosts.
This was a huge load off my shoulders! Let me tell you. I was a little freaked out by a huge turtle that ended up being my friend Charlie from next door. He took off his hat and I was surprised that it was him. I thought he was a real turtle... Have you ever meet a snappy turtle, they are mean. Now picture one that almost 3 feet tall! Yeah, you understand why I was freaked out now don't you!
Do you like my costume? I'm a Little Monkey! Daddy calls me his little monkey.

Thanks Auntie Amy for the great (and warm) costume!

University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Have you ever tried to say the word 'arboretum' when you are only nine months old? Seriously, who came up with this word? I tried a number of times to say it, but it's just too much. I get to "arbor" and I'm done.

While I was there, I found out that "Arboretum" is just a fancy way to say "Park" So if you are okay with this, I'm going to use the word Park.

I went with M&D to the Park, the big fancy park. It took all day to see this park.It was HUGE!

I'm telling you, I can't wait to get back there again. I really liked going to the fancy park
