The Tour de France

I have been watching the Tour de France early in the mornings. This is when Mommy is normally up, but not Daddy. But because Daddy likes the Tour so much, he now gets up with us in the morning. I really like that.

Early morning watching the Tour
I'm starting to like this stuff. There are lots of bicycles going very fast with bright colored jerseys to watch. Mommy is always cheering "Go Fabian" and Daddy is always saying "Go Andy" but they are both silly because they are on the same team. My parents are silly.

I think Mommy likes Fabian Cancellear because he looks like Kronk from the Movie "The Emperor's New Groove."

Personally I like Andy Schleck just like my Daddy. He is close to my age, and I kinda like tall skinny boys anyhow. Kind of like my Daddy. But not so old! So I cheer with Daddy!

Andy has a problem
Then when my friend Andy was winning the Tour de France, some guy name Alberto comes along and attacks Andy in the mountains when he is the overall all Leader. Daddy says that isn't allowed in the gentleman's agreement of the sport. I watched as Alberto went flying past my friend Andy and I got very upset. Andy was supposed to win the race because that is what I wanted! I don't like that Alberto anymore. Daddy says that I shouldn't be upset, but I am anyhow.

I reacted very badly to Alberto's attack
I can see why Mommy and Daddy like to watch the Tour de France so much. I have to ask them if they will let me watch more bicycles.

Get this, we’ve "moved!"

I found out why things have been so weird lately. You'll never guess what we did! Get this, we’ve "moved!"

But I’m really not sure what that means. Mommy and Daddy tried to explain how it happened to me last night when I finally was able to corner those two for a few minutes. They explained it, and it goes something like this. Mommy and Daddy (or M&D as I call 'em) decided that my room wasn't big enough for me anymore. They really should have talked to me about this first because I liked my room. It was nice I liked having all of the books in my room with me.

Anyhow, they told a nice lady named Rhonda who I thought was an Auntie or something that they thought my room was too small now, even if I don’t think it is. Rhonda was nice, she likes to smile and make me laugh. Well, Auntie Rhonda told some people who told this nice girl named Erika that my room was too small. Erika came over one day and thought that my room was just right for her and said that she would buy it from M&D. I’m still working out what buying means, but I think it has to do with how much milk we can get.

So since Erika liked my room so much, M&D when around looking for a new room for me. Mommy wanted to get me a room that was in a good school district because she said that someday it would be important to me…. Between you and me, I’d rather play with my Sister than go to this School thing, but I haven’t been to a school yet, so we’ll see. Maybe Mommy is right.

Because M&D have been running around finding me a new room, I have been spending extra time with my grandparents. Which, for me really is a win/win. My grandparents rule! And they like to spoil me too. So M&D told me that they look at 36 different rooms for me and after a lot of looking and talking they found a new room that is just right! And that is why M&D have been putting things into big brown boxes for the last couple of weeks, and have been not sleeping much lately. I noticed this because normally they’re so happy to play with me all of the time but lately they have been having a hard time keeping up with me. So I told sister that we have to be nice to them until my room is all done being put together. Then we can start playing hard again.

Oh and Get this! I have a yard! Do you know what a yard is? A yard is a Park, but smaller and connected to your room! I can see out MY window into MY park. And yesterday we went and played in My park. I like my new park!

So thank you M&D, I wish next time you would have just told me all of this in advance. I would have let you sleep through the nights some more.
